I slept until 12:45pm. I was shocked, I never sleep that late, no matter how tired I am. But it felt so good! I got up and discovered that S wasn't home. So I made some tea (boiled the water in the microwave... buying a hotplate was on the days agenda) and ate the croissant I found waiting for me on the counter. Yummy!
By the time Sebbe returned, I was all dressed and ready to go. So we headed out in search of a stove! We went to Darty (I think it's sort of the European version of Best Buy, etc) and found exactly what we were looking for! So that was easy.
On the way back home, we stopped in at a really nice boulangerie (that's French for bakery, specifically for bread. Patisserie is pastry shop.) We sat outside, drank coffee and ate tartelettes, and watched the people passing by.
We went back to the apartment to drop off the new "stove" and so that Sebbe could pack his bag: he was leaving early in the morning for Tunisia. But, instead, he played on his guitar and I did some blogging until finally he gave up on packing and we left for Pierre's.
Pierre has a really beautiful little apartment. It's sort of hard to describe, but the bedroom and bathroom are both upstairs in a loft with the kitcken/livingroom/diningtable below. Super charming. We drank some rosé, ate some chips n' dip (fancy dip, mind you, all different kinds of fish) and, after some more people came, we ordered pizza. Then Sebbe picked up the guitar, Pierre sat down at the piano and they started jamming a little. After the pizza we hurried downstairs, jumped in a cab and went to this super hot, very excusive club, Le Showcase, to see IN THE CLUB, an up-and-coming French rock band. Sebbe's good friends with the guitarist. The club was insane. It's this HUGE space under the bridge to Pont Alexandre, right by the Champs-Elysées. Amazing location. You look out the window and the Seine is right there, almost like you're on the water.
