Day 17 (day 1, Berlin):

Jules was waiting for me when the train pulled into the station at 6:05am. She ran up to me and gave me a great, big hug. "Your hair!" she said, "it's crazy!"
On the trainride back to her apartment she gave me the breakdown of the itinerary for the day. We needed to be on location by 12 noon.
After taking a much needed shower, we sat on the bed and chatted for a long time. She told me all about the past 2 months of craziness, all the cramming she had done to finish her pieces for school, and I told her about all the wonderful things going on in my life.
We made breakfast together and packed a whole bag of snacks, knowing that the catering backstage wouldn't be very exciting.
At 11am, we got on the train, making it just in time. The show was being held at Goya, an enormous gay club that looked like some sort of crazy hotel with huge, marable statues out front.
We got everything set up and eventually, I got dressed for the first rehearsal. I think it was the first time I've ever done an actual rehearsal for a fashion show. They always tell you there will be time for a run-thru, but it never happens. In fact, we had 2 full-dress rehearsals.
We had a little over 2 hours before we had to be back for hair and make up, so J and I went to a cafe and just relaxed in the shade.
We made our way back to the club on time, but ended up having to wait for the hair and make up-ers to show.

Hair and make up took forever. They were all first-year students, so they needed a little more help than usual.
Finally, time for the show!
Unfortunately, I don't have any photos from the show, I was too busy with quick changes and trying not to faint. The last piece I wore, J's masterpiece, was so hot, I was sweating like a pig. But it was worth it: It looked amazing!
