Day 19 (day 3, Berlin):

Woke up puffy-eyed, but feeling much better after what turned out to be a lovely evening. Jules took me out to Red Harp, a Mediterranean restaurant in her neighborhood. The food was delicious (I ordered the fish from the daily specials), the rosé was perfect, and the conversation even better. We shared the special dessert; baked peach with white chocolate foam and passionfruit ice cream. I didn't even realize how long we'd been sitting there talking untill we were back at the apartment, making tea, and it was 3 in the morning.

After a lazy morning, we made our way across the bridge (left) to Wedding Dress, a yearly street fashion show, held outside on the other
side of town. 2 of Jules' classmates were in the show. The way Wedding Dress works is they ask random people, with really great personal style, to wear their best outfit.

There were some really powerful personalities on the catwalk.

After fighting
with my bike lock for 15 minutes, we headed over to a nearby
park where, every Sunday, there is a HUGE
fleamarket and thousands of people sit on the grass.
